ShahGah Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
ShahGah is a monarchy calendar app for Persian history, personal events, birthdays, world clock tools, multilingual use, and weather information. This page explains what information the app uses and how that information is handled.
Overview
ShahGah is designed to help you explore monarchy timelines in Persian territories, manage your own calendar items, view world time, and check weather conditions. We try to keep personal data use limited to what is necessary for these features.
Information Stored on Your Device
ShahGah stores certain information locally on your device so the app can function properly. This may include:
- Your personal events, reminders, and birthdays.
- Your saved cities for the world clock feature.
- Your app preferences such as language, theme, time format, temperature unit, and calendar settings.
- Local app state such as ad timing and first-install timing.
This local information is generally kept on your device through app storage and is not intended to be published by us as part of your personal calendar content.
Weather and Time Features
To show weather information, ShahGah sends the latitude and longitude of the selected or resolved city to a weather service. The app currently uses Open-Meteo to retrieve forecast and weather summary data. The app also reads your device timezone, or a timezone you select, to support clock and default-city behavior.
ShahGah does not appear to request precise GPS location in the current app code. For weather and world clock features, the app relies on timezone information and city data rather than direct device location permission.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, ShahGah may schedule local notifications on your device for event reminders. Notification content may include the event title and description you entered. These reminders are used only to notify you on your device.
Analytics and Advertising
ShahGah includes third-party SDKs and services related to analytics and monetization, including Firebase Analytics, Google Mobile Ads, and in some environments consent or tracking authorization tools. These services may collect device, usage, advertising, or diagnostic information according to their own policies.
On supported mobile platforms, the app may request tracking authorization or advertising consent where required by law. Ad display and related consent state may also be stored locally on your device.
What ShahGah Does Not Require for Basic Use
- No account sign-up is required to use the app.
- The app does not require you to provide your name, phone number, or password to create personal events.
- Your personal events and birthdays are intended to stay in local app storage unless you choose to share them outside the app yourself.
Third-Party Services
ShahGah may rely on third-party providers for app functionality, analytics, and monetization. Based on the current app build, these may include:
- Google Firebase Analytics
- Google Mobile Ads
- Open-Meteo for weather data
These third parties may process information under their own privacy terms and practices.
Data Retention and Control
Locally stored events, birthdays, saved cities, and settings generally remain on your device until you edit them, delete them, clear app data, or remove the app. If you want to stop notifications, you can disable reminders in the app or change notification permissions in your device settings.
Children's Privacy
ShahGah is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through account registration. If you believe the app has handled personal information in a way that raises a privacy concern, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product updates, legal requirements, or service changes. When we do, we will publish the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
